About Timothy of the LeviNation

 Timothy Bio

"They call me Timothy, aka T.I.M, it's an acronym, it stands for Totally Involved in the Ministry!" You may here these lines bumping from a speaker somewhere as it snatches your attention and proceeds to shine light on your consciousness. He often describes his lyrics as being like the sun as he radiates his light in these dark times we live in. And being from the island in the sun; Jamaica. Timothy knows a thing or two about the blazing light. Timothy was born the son of army major on a Jamaican December afternoon. He grew up with a strong sense of army life as is to be expected. Growing up he inherited a love for music as his mother and father were in their own ways involved in music in their youth. His mother was heavily involved in music ministry at her church, ever since her teen years. From dancing to playing drums in the church brigade, and putting on concerts. His Father used to spin records and also put on concerts with his large collection.

Timothy was always tuned to the music of his homeland, but as a youngster with a talent for art he found something special in the synergy of the visuals, beats and creative lyrics that poured into his living room from B.E.T. networks. He found out early that he had a special knack for the rhyme and rhythm. As he rapped along with the culture his skills grew into the talented MC he is today. Timothy, after some dark days, gave his life to the Lord in 1995, it was time to join Heaven's army. Being that he had music, the military, and God's word in his blood his purpose was clear.

Today, armed with sporadic and unpredictable flows, a militant approach to his purpose, a colourful imagination and an explosive freestyle gift. He has joined the war against the forces of darkness in this present day system. Timothy's talent is at the level where he will go to a show give the audience a brand new song. Only for them to find out it was a freestyle. Or he'll just go in the studio pop in a beat and freestyle over it. As he did on Ontu us a Child is Born. God be praised.

He first came to the forefront with a team of soldiers like St Matthew, DJ Nicholas, and Zeela Mac, to name a few, on the Down to Earth produced Scroll album. His track Bright Days gave him a solid number two position on the then dancehallgospel.com music charts. The track remained at number 2 for close to a month. His first professionally recorded offering was met with favouritism from gospelreggae.com as the sites album reviewer wrote "Timothy's Bright Days is a brilliant track combining the sounds of Kingston, Jamaica with the flows of Jamaica, Queens — who said that Jamaicans can't rap or freestyle?"  http://www.gospelreggae.com/browse/albums/78dab34c010000d8009e/Various+Artists/The+Scroll.html

Timothy is currently in the studio working on his mix tape projects and songs for his upcoming album, spreading the gospel word over white hot tracks at school tours, and various gospel concerts around Jamaica.

With potent messages, smashing lyrics and sharp deliveries and a vision for from God. Timothy Launches us into A New Perspective with his newest works, inspired, driven and lead by the Holy Spirit which fuels his passions for a new day. Timothy desires to take the gospel to the four corners of the earth;  the potential to do so is embedded on every track. He desires the church to join in on the action as he states on the track 'Let's' where he states: "All of heaven's saints it's time for us to roll out, we got the evidence let's give it and not hold out...  Or on the Bombrush produced 'Conversation' in which he states "Saint's we need to get seen in the streets, need to bow our heads clasp hands kneel in the streets"

Giving thanks is also high on Timothy's priority list as he declares on 'Lord I Love You', "I gotta praise you, like for everyday Im living and I always gotta thank you like for everything you've given..."[.i]

In all this he hasn't forgotten to have fun as is seen on the Bombrush produced 'Party' where he celebrates The Christian life.

His collaboration with Zeela Mac 'Unto Us a Child is Born' has been enjoying rotation on HYPE TV and RETV for little over a year now. For more on Timothy including some of his musical  samplings go to
