Inspired by the sounds of Walter Hawkins and the Hawkins Family, Andrea' Crouch, Thomas Whitfield and Christian music of the late 80s and all through the 90s local DMV artist Jamal Ingram, music producer, songwriter and remixer Jamal Amin aka The Wordologist jump started his career in 1998 when he moved from Southwest Washington DC to Gaithersburg Maryland and met rapper Terrell Sullivan a.k.a Tru Soldier, Victor Chavez and Michael Charles; and together they created, The Advocates of Unity, formally known as Koinonia
However they separated but the Wordologist and Tru Soldier weathered the storm and in 2001 they formed the CCH duo The Phusion and with music that had an international flavor of African, Indian and Latin influences mixed with Hip-Hop the Phusion made their mark in the CHH industry that can be still heard today.”

The Phusion performed from coast to coast traveling extensively through the East Coast and even to the South America country of Chiclayo, Peru ministering to people of all races, economic, and social upbringings Gospel of Jesus Christ through music. The Phusion were together until 2008. During that time theWordologist produced remixes for local artists range from the DMV to New York City.

His first remix was produced in 2000. He remixed a song from the former CHH group Bloody Ink entitled, "The Pain of the Messiah" process that can about from experimenting with music production software.

From that time on theWordologist began to feel the wind of his career take speed. He knew he couldn't lose with Jesus on his side and remixed the song, "Win," for Robbie Robinson in 2005. He also remixed songs for CHH artists Sinner, The Saints, and many others. The Wordologist says, "I really seek to reach people of all nations through music. That's my heart."

Currently, the local phenomenon is about to release the highly anticipated project "Wordology". A CHH project a mixture of hip hop and techno dance music with all songs being about Old Testament events in the Bible set in modern times
