Craig Amaker

Singer/ Songwriter/ Producer

Gospel artist Craig Amaker ministering songs that glorify and magnify the name of Jesus Christ. Songs with the message of hope and peace. Singing with a style uniquely his own, but blended with styles of gospel greats of today and yesterday.

Craig's songs and style are founded on a foundation of R+B, soul, pop and other mainstream styles. A man after God's own heart, Craig's songs are laid-back, foot-stompin, hand-clappin, head-bobin, hands-wavin, chest-beatin, that minister God's Holy Word! Songs of praise, deliverance, salvation and exaltation!

I discovered this talent at a young elementary school age playing the trumpet. I continued through all my school years playing and learning theory of music. All the way through high school, playing concert band music for school events. Upon graduating went on to perform in various local bands playing trumpet. From trumpet, went on to singing and arranging vocals and music for bands. After all this I began pursuing music production from then to now.

Performed at New Haven, CT GospelFest 2001, and 2002. Teen Challenge Youth Explosion 2002 and 2003. Nominated best male solo vocalist at the 2004 Connecticut Gospel Music Awards, taking the 3rd place award. Performed at Foxwoods Resort and Casino at Urban Impact Summits' live taping of the Bobby Jones Gospel music hour in 2005. Video aired nationally. Participant in the Daywind Gospel Music Competition 2005. Selected as a semi-finalist. Guest on many local and national radio stations for airplay and interviews. Released 1st CD as independent in 2002 called "Count It All Joy". Went on to release 2nd CD "By His Spirit" which hit radio staions around the US and on the internet. 3rd CD project slated for Aug 2008 release titled "We Lift" is the long awaited, finally made it, CD released on ReKama Records for RaznPraz Music.

I serve at Cornerstone Christian Center alongside Pastor Alfred D Watts as a deacon on the leadership team. I'm also a lead and background singer in the praise and worship ministry and a member of the choir.

In closing I'd like to quote King David as he said in Psalm 146:2...I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
