Billy Kash was born in Los Angeles, California. He was introduced to rap music by his older brother and introduced to music production by family friend Ronnie Jones. Early influences include: George Clinton, The Gap Band, Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Ant Banks and Rakim. He recorded his first demo at 8 years old, then started looking for record deals on his own. At the age of 9 years old he auditioned and was cast in a principle role for Homeroom, a sitcom that first aired in 1989 on ABC before being picked up for syndication on stations like BET. He also appeared on several other sitcoms between 1989 and 1996. Now, Preaching Christ and him crucified is the point of focus for Billy Kash and music is his platform.

In January 1998, Billy Willis (A.K.A) Billy Kash was touched by the power of God and accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and saviour, since then he's served at a local church, The Potters House in Covina, California for 8 years functioning as a worship leader, musician, outreach leader, bible study leader, youth leader and has been rapping in churches and outdoor events all over southern California. He has also had opportunities to minister through Hip-Hop in Winslow, Arizona and even in South Africa. Billy now attends church at Charter Oak Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Covina, California
