Apostle J was born in the City of Flint on August 25th 1984. He was raised in a Christian home, and his father was a pastor, and his mother was a housewife. Though it sounds like the perfect situation.. it was very far from that. What appeared to be loving on the surface, there was another story growing up. He had a very difficult childhood, and many obstacles to overcome in home, as well as outside of the home. Despite Apostle J's many struggles growing up, listen to what he says. " You know, I grew up in a strict household, there was certain lines you didnt cross, or you were dealt with.. and I don't need to get into detail, but it kept me in line, and kept me out of the world.. so I can thank God for that. " His parents seperated in 1996..and he began to pludge into a deep depression as an early teen.. cutting himself off from family, and friends, he buried himself into music.. listening to old hits by Ray Charles, B.B. King, and many other great musicians, affliated with Jazz and Blues. He says in his own words. " I had developed a love for old school music.. especially jazz and the blues.. cuz of the pain I was feeling as a child.. that music was a comfort to me, to see how others dealt with their own pain and struggles. " Eventually he accepted Christ at the age of 14.. Feb. 18th 1999...but little did he know that what awaited him was something greater in his life. In late 2002.. he developed the love for hip-hop, and began writing some of his own material. He says " When I was 14.. God told me that I would lead millions of people one day, and when I was about 16.. a prophet told me that I would minister to people on the streets, and that my ministry would be unconventional... I never understood it at the time, until I realize my ability to rap, and use it to God's glory, and watching just how many souls it touches. " From 2002 to our present time.. Apostle J has been developing as an artist, but most important.. as a son of God. He leaves us with these last words " I'm focused on reaching a generation that feels like they have no hope..and that there is no alternative to all the other music in the world.. I'm here to prove to the unbelievers, that Christ can reign anywhere..even through rap..and preach the gospel to those who need it, and salvation be the result, and bring them over into discipleship. "

Are There Anymore REAL Christians?

I’m sitting here at home in the late hours of the night...as I write this, just greatly perplexed at the state of the world, and furthermore, the church at large. I guess I should preface this whole thing by saying, Apostle J is NOT perfect, nor does he claim perfection. Apostle J is not sinless, nor does he claim to be. However, I will tell you what Apostle J is...... CONSISTENT in my walk with God. I’ll get into more detail about that shortly, but, I am truly troubled at today’s world, and what we consider as " Christians. "  By Greek definition, a Christian is simply defined as a " follower of Christ. " If in fact, I am a follower of Christ, then that would mean, I am governing my entire life about things, that are consistent with His character, His nature, and His person. Now don’t get spooky on me, we all have our own weaknesses, and shortcomings, and God’s grace is sufficient for that, but what I am talking about is this willful disregard for God’s commandments, and His word of truth, and justify willful sin in our lives. We are not talking about mere stumbling, but a rebellious wallowing in sin, and using God’s grace as a license for sin. These individuals that fill up the church, are the main people who use the line, " You can’t judge me " and these are the same ones, who don’t even know their bibles.  When Jesus spoke about judging one another, by Greek definition, to judge means to condemn or to cast a sentence upon a person, in the sense of what a judge does. In other words, I do not have power, to justify or condemn someone to heaven or hell, only God Himself has that kind of power...HOWEVER, the Scripture is very clear about reproof, correction, and rebuke.  Paul speaks about in 1 Corinthians 5, a member of the church, who was involved with his step mother, while attending the church, in open sin. Paul made it clear, anybody that is running around, and claiming to be a " brother " and is openly committing unrighteousness, you’re not even to sit down and eat with them. In this sensitive society today, they would call that " judging " or have a " holier than thou " attitude. Paul also made it clear, that we as believers have nothing to do with judging those, outside of the church, God will judge the world, but those on the inside of the community of God, are to be held responsible for their actions. The world is lost and is in total opposition to God, we are not in a position to bring the world to submission. We are here to scatter seed, and water the seed, and God will bring the increase.  I sit and look at many self-proclaimed Christians, and a prime example would be, right here on myspace. Individuals who claim to have a personal relationship with the Lord, but have all kinds of obscenities on their pages, dirty pictures, and so forth. I can honestly say in all of my walk with God, in all of my sin, I’ve always felt the conviction of God, and eventually I would have to change course. I see so many who proclaim the Lord, but yet, walk in filth and unrighteousness, and it makes me wonder, how often do they quench the voice of the Spirit within them? We have Christians, who say the bible isn’t even revelant anymore. It is not fully accurate. Christians who don’t believe in the gifts of the Spirit, or the miraculous power of God. Christians, who are in open fornication, adultery, drinking, smoking, and using drugs, and they do these things, with total disregard to the commandments of God. Those of you, who REALLY know your bibles understand that being a Christian, doesn’t make you sinless, but being a Christian, requires a change of the way you think, in regards to sin. When I was unsaved, I sinned and did not care, but now, as a believer, if I sin, I am convicted, and I will ask for forgiveness, to God, and to whomever I wronged. If you are a so-called believer, and you are in open sin, with no conviction, my friend, you are not a true believer, but you have deceived yourself. Christians, who stand up, and lie, and say that there is no hell, or it is not a literal fire. Why is it that we believe in a literal heaven, but we won’t accept the bibilical revelation, of a literal fire? The only people who have a problem with such punishment, are those, who desire to live a life of unrighteousness, with no consequences. They believe it is too harsh. If you are obedient to the Lord, why should you worry about it? Everlasting fire was made for the devil, and his angels, not for humans. God’s intention was for humankind to be with Him, but He demands obedience, and that comes from the heart. People who choose to not take God’s word serious are truly deceived by the devil, by another gospel, and another spirit.

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Paul is writing this to the Corinthians, simply let me remind you, that the church of Corinth was a spiritual immature church. When you are a baby Christian, deception is easier to get you, than a full grown, mature believer. I can’t get into that full teaching now, but be looking out for all that in the future. Satan deceived Eve, with the lie, that what God has said, He didn’t really mean it, and you would not believe how many so called Christians, say they are followers of Jesus, but yet deny the very words that He taught, as revelant for today. How sad will it be, on the day that you die, and as the rich man, lifted up his eyes in torments, and yes, by REAL flames, you will regret for an eternity, the false security you held on to.  Are you a true believer? Ask yourself this question sincerely, and if you are one who is in open sin, and desire to re-dedicated your life to Christ...send me a message, and we can talk. I am willing to work with those who ARE willing, but those who continue to walk in deception, I pray for you.....God bless you all.
