Singer/songwriter and Evangelist Daisy Jones has graced the platform and ministered with many choirs and singers including artists such as Pastor Marvin Sapp (Never Would Have Made It), Evangelist Duranice Pace (Already Done Done), and Rev. Rance Allen (Something About that Name). This summer destiny called as she released her debut CD aptly entitled, “Destiny.” Every track is original and you will sway, dance, shout and cry as they minister to the heart, mind and spirit. The title cut, “Destiny,” reaches the soul as Jones worshipfully and transparently sings of pain and healing. Her soulful delivery of “Come on and Praise Him,” ‘Rejoice,’ and ‘Redeemed’ will drown out the Monday morning blues, take you through midweek, and make you ready for Sunday morning ‘Chuch.’ Still, the sentimental, “I Will Restore You,” speaks to women from every walk of life with a testimony of hope and restoration. The powerful “Your Word” and “You Brought Me” are stellar hits that start off with quiet reflection and peak to heights of thankful praise. Jones’ versatility is evident as she goes from praise and worship on the high sounding anthems to the subtle but powerful ballads. The meditational track, ‘I Can See It,’ will soothe you with its jazzy piano and soulful saxophone sounds. The upbeat and contemporary bonus track “You Did It” is a winner with any age group. “Say to You’ has crossover appeal to reach the masses for Christ. The soulful “Desert Praise,” provokes praise during the lowest times in life and is destined to become a worldwide anthem. Jones began directing choirs at the tender age of 15. Her gifting was nurtured by saxophone lessons, participation in the world renowned Florida A&M University Gospel and Concert Choirs, and serving in the church. Influenced by gospel singers Tramaine Hawkins, Lynette Hawkins, Twinkie Clark, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Yolanda Adams, Maurette Brown Clark, Sandi Patty and Larnelle Harris, her music moves audiences to weep in reflection and thanksgiving, as well as dance in celebration. This debut release is an expression of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts I think toward you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to bring you to an expected end." This release is a praise unto God for the words He has spoken over the lives of those who trust and believe Him, despite failures, disappointments and trouble.
