About zion

Zion (Harold Edwards Jr.) was born December 22, 1977 to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Edwards Sr. in Savannah, Ga. As an adolescent he began to stray away from the moral foundation that was instilled in him as a child. In 1994 Harold Edwards Sr. excepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior . The reality of his conversion affected Zion so greatly because his father was a man who had many vices in his life. And over a period of time the light of Christ that shined from his father's living began to convince Zion that Jesus indeed is real. In August 1996, after having a discussion about God at his grandmother's house, on his way home God convicted his heart. In his bedroom with his lights off, he knelt down on the side of his bed and asked Jesus to come into his heart and save him. His life has never been the same.

"In a time where apostasy and postmodernism views are raging, in a time where societies choice of music has become its primary source of direction, and in a time where religion, tradition, and success has become more dear to some than by any means necessary attempting to win the lost. Rises A Voice!"

In Zion's quest to serve and follow Christ, he through a personal witness of the Holy Spirit discovered that he had a call on his life to preach the Gospel. In July of 1997, he preached is initial sermon and was licensed into ministry. In October 2002 he began to minister as a solo artist. Since then God has enabled him to travel nationally teaching and ministering the word through gospel rap.

One of his greatest inspirations, other than his father who is now a pastor, is a gospel rap minister by the name of Jah Word. Jah Word has been like a big brother to him in this ministry. When Zion began his music ministry there is one thought that still echos in his mind that Jah said "never lose sight on the real focus, this is strictly ministry".

Zion is a passionate minister and a awesome gospel rap artist. His desire is to win lost souls to Christ at any cost. He stands firm on the Word of God and has made a vow not to compromise on God.
