Biography

Shamel Shiloh delivers extraordinary biblical truths while at the same time maintaining a heavy street sense. His realistic verbal communication cuts deep to the core. Shamel Shiloh, based in Fairfax, VA, is an artist who communicates the Gospel message through hip-hop music. C. Lamont Saunders “Shamel Shiloh” name represents change. Before rededicating his life to Jesus Christ, he was a part of an underground rap group named True Headz. He changed his rhyme name from Shamel da Sweets to Shamel Shiloh (Shiloh means peaceful one and sometimes refers to the Messiah; it was also a city of Ephraim about 10 miles NE of Bethel, site of the Ark of the Covenant.) He is a member of McLean Bible Church in Northern Virginia where they support ministries like "The House" which is a faith-based youth center located in the Anacostia community of Southeast Washington, D.C., on a street formerly known as "Murder Row." Shamel states that his goal is to give people, especially the urban inner city Hip Hop Headz, an alternative to all the negativity and corrupt music that plagues our airways and society. Shamel Shiloh received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Strayer University and is also the Manager of Network Administration for a high tech company in Northern Virginia.One of his favorite verses is Proverbs 23:19-25 which says: Listen, my son, and be wise, and keep your heart on the right path. Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags.
