Musician PJ MORGAN Impacts Gospel Radio With "Last Time" Single After THE TRANSPARENCY PROJECT Debuts At #14 On Billboard Jazz Albums Chart

Washington, DC --   Musican and music educator PJ Morgan  is a musical prodigy with an exeptional aptitude of melodic interpretation and expression. Morgan  is a 3 time Stellar Gospel Music Award nominee for Producer of the Year, is the band director at  Reid Temple AME , one of the largest mega-churches in the United States, and teaches Composition and Theory at  The Duke Ellington School of the Arts  in Washington, DC.  He now adds Top Billboard Jazz Charting artist to his resume.

Morgan released THE TRANSPARENCY PROJECT June 1 with an impressive debut ranking at #14 on the Billboard Top Jazz Albums chart.  Equally as impressive is that the album marks the first release by new indie label 1DMV Music Group also in Washington, DC.

"We are committed to the goal of presenting musical works of superb quality and ingenuity," says 1DMV Music Group President and CEO Ernest Mabrey .  "We are very pleased with the great success of our first artist and debut project PJ Morgan: The Transparency Project !  PJ's musical virtuosity and depth of heart clearly come through on this album.  We hope and expect that consumers and music fans will enjoy the project as much as we do."

THE TRANSPARENCY PROJECT is skillfully articulated. Morgan intertwines original Smooth Jazz compositions with instrumental classic Gospel hymns throughout the project.  His Smooth Jazz Radio single  “Hit The Floor”  danced its way to SmoothJazz.com Top 50 Radar Chart.   He now embarks on subjugating multiple genres at radio with "Last Time" impacting Gospel Radio formats now.   Vocalist Antonio Mclendon joins PJ on "Last Time" that invokes the spirit to move with its Latin flavor, while inspiring listeners with encouraging lyrics.

"Last Time" is a song about a man that gets up after a fall, and realizes that he is never going to make that mistake again," Morgan explains.  "It is his 'Last Time' and he's telling God that he will never be in this place again."

Morgan continues, "I needed a vocalist that could move along with this track.  I chose Antonio McClendon because he has the vocal acrobatics to follow the pace that the music sets.  I hope that the message encourages the listener as they bop to this Latin interpretation of my thoughts and feelings set to music."

THE TRANSPARENCY PROJECT is available on all digital music outlets.  Morgan will be celebrating his successful release with a concert on July 30 at City Winery in Washington, DC.
