Subject HEBREW ARTIST OF DA WEEK >>>>>(YAHALOMA)
Body: SHALOM, SHALOM, AND SHALOM,
MY BRUTHAZ AND SISTAZ. IT'S YISRAEL COMING TO U ONCE AGAIN WITH ANOTHER INTERVIEW WITH OUR NEW HEBREW ARTIST OF THE WEEK.
AND I TELL YA WHAT AN INTERVIEW IT WAS. THIS WEEKS HEBREW ARTIST OF THE WEEK IS OUR OWN SISTA (YAHALOMA)http://www.myspace.com/kimthomasramos. A YOUNG LADY RAISED UP IN CHICAGO BY HER MOTHER NONE OTHER THAN PLATINUM SELLING RECORDING ARTIST MRS. EVELYN THOMAS. A BIG TIME FAVORITE IN THE 80's WITH THE HIT HIGH ENERGY.
I TRUELY TELL YALL THAT THIS INTERVIEW IS ON THAT I HAD WANTED TO DO FOR SOME TIME. I CAME UPON YAHALOMA'S PAGE JUST BY CONINCIDENCE AND WHEN I GOT TO HER PAGE AND HEAR ONE OF HER SONGS 4 DA HEBREW, I WAS BLOWN AWAY. THE 1ST THING THAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION WAS THE SHOFAR BEING BLOWN AT THE VERY ENTRANCE TO THE SONG. IMMEDIATELY I HAD TO PUT IT ON MY PAGE AS THE MOST OF U KNOW FROM WHEN U CLICK ON TO MY PROFILE U HEAR THE SHOFAR BLOW.
A DEFINITE EAR BENDER IT IS. AND THE OTHER TRACKS THAT SHE HAS RECORDED AND PUT ON HER PAGE. SUCH A SOOTHING SOUND. MUSIC TO SIT BACK , KICK YOUR FEET UP AND RELAX TO AFTER HAVING AN LONG STRESSFUL DAY.
WE HAD SO MUCH FUN DOING THIS INTERVIEW, FELT LIKE WE WERE RIGHT HERE IN THE ROOM WITH EACH OTHER HOW WE WENT BACK AND FORTH AND LAUGHED EVERY NOW AND THEN. AND FROM THE INTERVIEW U CAN FEEL THE BOTH OF US SMILING. LIKE BRUTHA AND SISTA, SPLIT UP FROM THIER FAMILY AFTER YEARS OF NOT KNOWING WHOM IT IS THAT THEY ARE AND FINALLY COMING TOGETHER.
ENJOY THE INTERVIEW. ENJOY THE MUSIC

MY BRUTHAZ AND SISTAZ

YAHALOM: Hey I am here.

YISRAEL: Yahaloma?
YAHALOMA: Yes!
YISRAEL: OH MY SISTA I am so full of smiles over here. How are u?
YAHALOMA: Blessed and you?
YISRAEL: Blessed everyday that THE MOST HIGH ALLOWS ME TO WAKE UP !!!!
YAHALOM: Awmen
YISRAEL: Well 1st , I would like to start with an SHALOM
YAHALOMA: Shalom to you as well.
YISRAEL: And I have some questions for u...I promise not to take up too much of your time.. I think..LOL
YAHALOMA: Ha ha
YISRAEL: Well Yahaloma, I have to say that I have been looking 4ward to doing this interview for quite a minute now and I'm glad that we finally found time within both of our schedules to do this !
YAHALOMA: I am overjoyed that you have considered me to do such an interview. Thank YAHWEH for you!
YISRAEL: Well thank U for saying that, but Yahloma I really have to tell u that truely by the inspiration of Yahweh, it was you that inspired me to start doing these interviews!
YAHALOMA: That is all because of YAHWEH. I am honored to be used by HIM for inspiration.
YISRAEL: Especially after hearing 4 DA HEBREWS! That song BLEW ME OFF MY FEET!!! I mean from the 1st time that I heard that Shofar blow and then your voice misting in as though it is an callin to Yah's people. Most pleasant to the spirit I do have to say!
YAHALOM: You will be amazed at how that song came about.
YISRAEL: Now let me ask U- That is Mordechai on the Shorar, is it not?
YAHALOMA: The first one is him and the last one is me.
YISRAEL:U got to be kidding me?!?!?
YAHALOMA: No.
YISRAEL: Well PRAISE THE MOST HIGH!!!
YAHALOM: AWMEN!
YISRAEL: I'M SMILING YAHLOMA!!!:)
YAHALOMA: Me too. :)
YISRAEL: Did u write the song....?
YISRAEL: U tell me how it came about. OH and people to let u know while Yahloma is typing here response, Mordechai is her husband. U can find him on here page under his name and also there is another page that u can get in touch with the both of them... The link is the picture with both of the hugged up together. LOL

YAHALOM: Well, no. My husband, Morderchai, asked me to do the song because he says, he is my biggest fan. He wanted to listen to it in the car. I had no idea of how to sing in such a manner comming from the gospel singing side. So, don't laugh, I was just playing around with all the sounds my voice could make and that is how the song came about. He loved it, although I really didn't try to sing, I was just playing skillfully before YHWH.
YISRAEL: Well let me tell u this....The way that u sing that song reminds me of how I have sung some songs within my past....It gives it an more HEBREW FEEL. So smooth, it puts an image in my mind of u standing in a living room gazing out of the window on an MISTY FOGGY AFTERNOON, calling out to YISRAEL!!!
YAHALOM: Praise YAH!

YISRAEL: So let me ask u. Are u originally from Florida? And if not where is it that u grew up? And u did say that u grew up with an Gospel background am I correct? So also am I to assume that u grew up in the christian church as many of us have?
YAHLOMA: Well, I am from Chicago, Ill. I grew up with my mother, Evelyn Thomas, who is an platnum recording artist from the 80's.
EVELYN THOMAS Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
YAHALOMA: Christian, Yes.
YISRAEL: Wait a minute
YISRAEL: Evelyn Thomas??? Evelyn Thomas?? Hmmm?
YISRAEL: Refresh my memory
YISRAEL: That name sounds so familiar
YAHALOMA: Yes. She is my mother. She sang High Energy around 1983 or so.
YISRAEL: OHHHHH I SEE
YISRAEL: LOL
YAHALOMA: LOL
YISRAEL: Well isn't that something!!?! So was she your inspiration for singing?
YAHALOMA: I guess so.
YISRAEL: U grew up with an family of music I assume.
YAHALOMA: Yeh and others that I grew up with. No, just my mother.
YISRAEL: Okay Okay! Did u travel alot with her?
YAHALOMA: Yes, we went oversees alot.
YISRAEL: My that must of really been something as a young child....Most children don't get to experience that...Was it rough for u or did u enjoy it...And was it hard having friends at that age?
YAHALOMA: Yes it was ruff. In Europe there was much prejudice from most children. Jealousy as well. It was very difficult to make friends because they always assumed that I was stuck up, but I was very approachable.
YISRAEL: HHMmmm, now that right there is something to hear, because over here in America they always made it seem as though the people over in Europe didn't show any prejudice to our people over that way....From the way that they showed it was that it was more America than anything but hey it's everywhere and u and I know that there is only one that will stop it all and that is YAHWEH!
YAHALOMA:oKAY? AWMEN!
YISRAEL: Yahaloma do u write most of your songs?
YAHALOMA Yes.
YISRAEL: Have u and Moderchai ever collaborated?
YAHALOMA: Yes, we have tried. He even helped me by singing the background vocals in the latest song.
YISRAEL: Who is playing the music is it him? I"m nosey, LOL:
YAHALOMA: No. I track and arrange most of the music.
YISRAEL: I want to know who produced your music.
YAHALOMA: Me.
YISRAEL: Come on now Yahaloma!
YAHALOMA; Really!
YAHALOMA: Really, the song you speak of was a track from a instrumental song.
YISRAEL: Do u have an studio in your home?
YAHALOMA: Yes I do have my own studio.
YISRAEL: All of these things that u know how to do, studio wise, u learned this from those that were around u when u were growing up?
YAHALOMA: No. My mother really didn't want me to be a singer. She taught me nothing, until she found out that she couldn't stop me. Most of what I have learned has come directly from looking, listening, and the RUACH HA KODESH.
YISRAEL: Yeah that is what usually happens in an musical family, especially when the parent is in the music business. They tend to be the ones that want to shelter their children from the business because they have already learned how crazy it can be and how influential it can be when it comes to its down side. But PRAISE YAHWEH for directing u to doing what it is that u do.
YAHALOMA: Well when you are to do something nothing can stop it.
YISRAEL: Okay I hear that.....I tell u that makes me more inspired to get on my P'SSSS & Q'SSS when it comes to the music portion in my life...I have so much build up in me for YAH that I have to let it out.
YISRAEL: Oh, and be a little clearer for those who don't know what RUACH HA KODESH means...Alot of us aren't fluent! LOL:)
YAHALOMA: The HOLY (KADOSH) SPIRIT (RUACH ). RUACH HA KODESH.
YISRAEL: U know Im gonna have to get up on my HEBREW
YAHALOMA: I just started learning.
YISRAEL: I't amazing (THE LANGUAGE THAT IS).
YAHALOMA: Yes it is.
YISRAEL: Do u find it difficult?
YAHALOMA: I don't find it difficult. More so interesting and revelatory to the WORD and revealing about the people Yisrael.
YISRAEL: Hmmm that's what I"ve heard... Do u have any specific tools that u are using in helpin u to learn?
Shul. I go every SHABBAT. I have the Restoration Scriptures Bible which is directly translated from the Arameic to the English. This cuts out the Latin and Greek influences of the KJ Bible.
YISRAEL: OKAY,,,,OKAY! Hmmm, sounds intresting, Eye opening
I've been thinking about gettinn the disc that I've seen here on the internet to help me learn ...I really don't know which avenue to take.
YAHALOMA: Learning Hebrew that is correct?
YISRAEL: Yes, learning Hebrew
YAHALOMA: Tov (Good)
YISRAEL: OKay Back to u! Now Yahaloma, when did u 1st learn that u could sing? At what age?
YAHALOMA: 5
YISRAEL: Okay,,,,at a young age like me as well,
So this is an in grown talent of yours?
YAHALOMA: YAHWEH placed in me and I just can't shut up.LOL
YISRAEL: LOL U a trip
YISRAEL: So u have been singing for some years now!
YAHALOMA: Yes.
YISRAEL: How long professionally?
YAHALOMA: Since about 1990-91.
YISRAEL: And when u started professionally, was it with Yahweh or u were singing Gospel ?
YAHALOMA: No. I sang top 40. I was in many bands here in Miami. One was about to sign with Sony, but we broke up.
YISRAEL: OH okay
YAHALOMA: Also original music as well.
YISRAEL: What type of music did u listen to when u were growing up?
YAHALOMA: Thank YWHW it never came to anything. I listened to Michael Jackson, The weather girls, Earth wind and fire, Mahalia Jackson, and many more. It was a mixture. My mother would drop me off, sometimes, with my grandmother and godmother, who only listened to this type of music. So I have a variety of musical influences.
YAHALOMA: Hall and Oats too.
YISRAEL: OH I know what u mean,,,,, I grew up listning to Mahaila Jackson, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Donna Summer, Donnie Hathaway and all of the soul greats...My dad was big with music!
YAHALOMA: OH yeah
YAHALOMA: Hall and Oats
YAHALOMA: Yep. Sting, etc.
YISRAEL: I remember I thought they was black when they came out.
YISRAEL: Until I saw the video
YISRAEL: LOL
YAHALOMA: My mom thought that too until the video. As well as George Michael.
YISRAEL: Oh Okay,,,gotta wide range there I see...
YISRAEL: Well ME!>Doobie Brothers!!! LOL
YISRAEL: Yep them too. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
YISRAEL: U don't know how u making me laugh over here(LAUGHING HARD FROM HAVING SO MUCH IN COMMON)
YAHALOMA: LOL
YISRAEL: OKay
YISRAEL: Um lets see. What do u presently have in the works as far as your music is concerned?
YISRAEL: Take your time in answering.
YAHALOMA: I have been requested to make a full version of praise and worship for the Believers of the way. This cd will encompass Hebrew traditional praise songs. At the same time I have been requested to do another cd which will encompass dance, traditional gospel feel, and so on with the true name of YHWH.
YAHALOMA: Sorry, THE WAY.
YISRAEL: Alright, Then Im not the only one....Sometimes u feel as though u are the only one out here wanting to do something within that sorts...so many people are doing the SAME OLE Christian Gospel thing and no one is doing it for Yahweh when it comes to Gospel...Unless it's rap...And Everyone does not like to listen to Rap all of the time. I mean don't get me wrong I grew up during the time of its creation but sometimes my mind wants to slow down.
YAHALOMA: I have questioned that very thing. I don't want to be critical, but if we know we must act on it.
YISRAEL: Well hey the truth is the truth
Dont have time to be tryin to please everyone
Got to do what has to be done
YAHALOMA: Yep
YISRAEL: And if some feelings get hurt in the way though u dont' want that to happen u have to do what needs to be done to get people to hear the word of Yahweh and alot of people don't like rap.
Are any of the song that u plan on putting out, are any of them those that u have up on your Myspace page?
YAHALOMA: Yes. There are 4 songs. Two of them were done before I began using the true name.
YISRAEL: OH Yeah I remember u telling me that at one time...And one of the people on my page even spoke to me about that and I passed on the info that u gave to me about u learning the name and how u were going to be puttin it within your music

YAHALOMA: When making and writing music and lyrics, we must remember one thing. It is by inspiration of the RUACH(SPIRIT) and only by HIM will anything be accomplished. If we do this without HIM it is in vain.
YISRAEL: YAHALOMA u are TOATALLY CORRECT WITH THAT STATEMENT
YISRAEL: It is all in VAIN without YAHWEH
YAHALOMA: I move only when the RUACH(SPIRIT) leads. If HE is not leading, I am not moving.
YISRAEL: Well YAHALOMA, I have to really tell u, thank u for the interview. It was very inspiring, speaking with u....Do u by any chance have an Ideal when u will have an C.d. out and are u doing it all underground or are u going to try an put it within a major label?
YAHALOMA: Let YHWH have HIS way with it. The actual distribution is not of my concern. I will have the cd avaliable within the next couple of months. As for a major, only YHWH knows this.
I will put a link for downloading up when the songs become avaliable.
YISRAEL: Yes though u may put a link it will be a link of purchasing the music I hope?
YAHALOMA: Yes the link will be for purchasing.
YISRAEL: MY SISTA, Just know that M.Yisrael will be one of the 1st to purchase if it is Yahwehs will that I am still around.
YAHALOMA: It is HIS pleasure to give you long life.
YISRAEL: Well alright MY SISTA
YAHLOMA: Now Yisrael. You must sing.
YISRAEL: YES MAmm!! My moms has it written down in her baby book of me that I started singing be4 I even spoke the words DA-DA .. And that's all I really knew that I wanted to do all my life which was to sing but I know now what it was all for and it was for giving praise and being a tool for the leading back the children of THE MOST HIGH YAHWEH!!
YAHALOMA: Don't continue to sit on your talents and dig holes to hide them until the MASTER returns. You must multiply what you have been given.
Don't stop.
YISRAEL: YES YAHALOMA
I HEAR U
AND I AM TRYING
You've got that one right!
I AM TRYING
YISRAEL: Don't try, do!
Most people who try fail, but those who do revamp and start again until it is a success.
YISRAEL: Along with Yahweh my people are my inspiration
I will.. I WILL DO....I WILL DO
YAHALOMA: AWMEN
Well Im going to put an halt to the interview for now
But I must ask u something.
YAHALOMA: What?
YISRAEL: IS MORDERCHAI AROUND U
YAHALOMA: He is.
YISRAEL: CAN U PUT HIM ON?
YAHALOMA: Sure.
YISRAEL: THANKS!
YAHALOMA: He is actually sleeping on the couch, normal. He is not coherent right now, well not enough to be aware to give straight answers.
YISRAEL: LOL, OKAY!
COULD U LET HIM KNOW SOMETHING TOMORROW I GUESS?
YAHALOMA: I will tell him in the morning.
YAHALOAM: TELL HIM THAT I AM TICKED OFF WITH HIM
YAHALOMA: Ok.
YISRAEL: FOR NOT REVEALING HOW TO GROW A BEARD,LoLOLOLOL
YAHALOMA: Ha ha. Just don't cut it.
YISRAEL: WHEN I SAW THAT MANS BEARD I KNEW
I JUST KNEW THAT I HAD TO WORK TO GET SOMEWHERE NEAR IT
LOL
BUT MINES? IT'S GROWING THOUGH
YAHALOMA: Still?
YISRAEL: YES
YAHALOMA: Alright.
YISRAEL: AHIGHT MY SISTA
YISRAEL: U TAKE CARE
AND I GOT LUV FOR MORDERCHAI AND U
YAHALOMA: You too. Shalom and Shavu A Tov (Have a good week).
YISRAEL: MAY YAHWEH BLESS U IN ALL THAT HE MAY LEAD U INTO DOIN
SHALOM
