Atlanta/Chicago. November 24, 2008 . Fellowship of
Holy Hip Hop (host of Annual Holy Hip Hop Awards) and Sonshine Music
Festival announced today that they have entered into a strategic
alliance. The terms of the strategic alliance provide generally that:
(1) Fellowship of Holy Hip Hop will exclusively manage: (a) submissions of
Holy Hip Hop genre artists for performance stage consideration at the
annual Sonshine Music Festival (Friday, July 17, 2009 and Saturday, July
18, 2009), as well as (b) all Holy Hip Hop Emcees' stage times and
performances; and (2) Fellowship of Holy Hip Hop and the Sonshine Music
Festival will provide invaluable media and marketing exposure for each
other within and throughout their respective platforms.
"Hundreds of thousands of individuals have attended the Sonshine Music
Festival since 1981 and over 1,800 bands have performed at this powerful
Christian event. In 2009, it will be the honor of Fellowship of Holy Hip
Hop to introduce the Sonshine Music Festival Family to quality, diverse
and Ministry-focused Holy Hip Hop emcees, representing North, South,
East and West," said Minister eDDie Velez (Da Preachin Puerto Rican),
CEO, Fellowship of Holy Hip Hop and host of the Annual Holy Hip Hop
Awards.

40,000 individuals have traveled to Wilmar, Minnesota for the annual
Sonshine Music Festival to fellowship over 3 days and enjoy the sounds
of great Christian talent such as: Toby Mac, Switchfoot, Relient K,
Shawn McDonald and more. Holy Hip Hop emcees, focused on Christian
Ministry Evangelism and the Mission to Take the Gospel to the Streets,
continue to make a powerful impact within and outside of the Christian
community. Sonshine Music Festival is excited to be able to provide an
opportunity for the moving and uplifting lyrical testimonies of Holy Hip
Hop Ministers of the Gospel to be shared and experienced by the Sonshine
Music Festival Family in 2009 and beyond," said Bob Poe, Founder,

About Sonshine Music Festival:
In 1981 Bob Poe, a local youth pastor in Willmar, MN, rallied a group
of interested people to discuss a possible summer musical event for
teenagers. A portion of this group became the steering committee for
SONSHINE 1982. Sonshine 1982 drew 1800 attendees to hear Sweet Comfort
Band, The Witty’s, Wally Hilgenberg, Sandi Patti, Rosey Greer, Russ Taff,
Ann Kiemel and Leon Patillo.
The Willmar Community Campus was the host for SONSHINE from 1982-1986.
During this time SONSHINE grew to 8,000 attendees. Because of the
growth, SONSHINE relocated to the Willmar Civic Center site in 1987.
With the construction of the Willmar High School facility in the same
area, SONSHINE has remained at this location for the past 21 years!
SONSHINE’s 27 year history has included virtually every major artist in
the Christian music world. Attendance has grown from 1800 to a high mark
of 23,000 in 2006.
SONSHINE remains true to its commitment to deliver the best in Christian
music and encourage young people to become or continue to be a life-long
follower of Jesus. Bob Poe and the original steering committee are still
organizing and providing leadership for the Sonshine Music Festival.
